Hike, bike, and paddle event in the Great North WoodsJoin a guided group adventure!

Unlike our private Custom ESCAPES and Group Programs, these events are open to enrollment by individuals, couples, and families looking for economical guided wilderness experiences. These healthy adventures are a great way to meet new friends! Descriptions, dates, prices, and reservation information follows.

Important Information

These special events are designed for active folks who have had little or no experience in the recreational activity offered, although all levels are invited. The pace will be relaxed to allow time for skills instruction and exploring nature. Exact location is guide's choice depending on a number of conditions at the time. Backpacks, dry bags, and other gear are available to rent, if not included in the price. Policies and Procedures apply.

Check this page often--we will be adding or changing events. That said, this schedule and prices are subject to change without notice, in order to prevent double booking of our guides. Registration, medical forms, and payment is due 30 days prior to trip, but you may contact us after that to see if there are still openings. There may be a minimum enrollment.

We can recommend lodging properties for before and after your adventure with us, or click here for some lodging links.

If you see an activity of interest and can't make it on the specified date, or would like it customized, please request a private Custom ESCAPE or Group Program. We also have private Vacation Packages and S.U.V. Sightseeing Tours available.

3-Day Guided Backpack Trip
in the White Mountains or Great North Woods

Year-round

Backpacking in the White Mountains

So many trails, so little time. That's why we offer this longer trip to pack more of them in. We'll take you into the heart of the White Mountains or the Great North Woods--a different trail every month. Summer and Fall climbs will bring you above treeline. Winter and Spring treks will be in low-lying remote areas with great scenery and points of interest.

Remote overnight accommodations vary and will depend on interests, the weather, and pace of the group. Weather is unpredictable here, so we provide a very serious pack list and will inspect your gear before starting out. You'll receive directions to meet your guide.

Included on the hike: survival tips, camping equipment, 7 meals, snowshoes or ice grippers if needed, natural history talks, and wildlife viewing and photo opportunities.
