Other N.H. Adventures and Sports

Besides all of our guided adventures in New Hampshire (hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, nature tours, moose tours, S.U.V. scenic and photo tours, target archery and survival skills instruction) there are many other outdoor activities to enjoy in NH, and we have collected some resources to help you experience more of our diverse landscapes from the mountains to the sea.

If you are interested in hunting and fishing in New Hampshire, you can find out about season dates and getting a license to hunt or fish at the N.H. Fish and Game website. You may want to hire a hunting guide or fishing guide, or become one yourself.

Rock climbing, mountaineering, and ice climbing activities are popular extreme sports in some areas of New Hampshire. It's best to start with experienced guides and and proper instruction to learn technical rope skills and all about safety and equipment.

How about old-fashioned horseback riding, or a sleigh ride for a memorable experience with your loved ones.

Motorheads enjoy many of New Hampshire's trails on off-highway recreational vehicles (OHRV), such as snowmobiling (northern locals call them snowmachines) and off-roading with 4-wheelers/all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), dirt bikes, and 4X4 sports utility vehicles (SUVs). Now that you've got the lingo down, you can check out more about OHRVing.

With all of New Hampshire's lakes, rivers, and seacoast, motor boating and swimming are also popular sports during summer, especially in July and August.

In winter, you can dress for the weather and try dogsledding, or downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.

There are many, many more New Hampshire experiences to find all year round.
