2016 Sept. 12-15 - Northern Forest Canoe Trail Autumn Adventure for Two (3-Nights/2-Days)
Experience New England's Autumn colors and explore the Northern Forest Canoe Trail with an adventure/lodging package in northern New Hampshire. Enjoy a professionally guided 2-day canoe/kayak camping tour and stay at a small unique local bed and breakfast on each night before and after the trip. Participation is limited, so please book early! (see instructions below.)
Your guide will decide the on the best paddling route at the time depending on a number of conditions, either on the Connecticut River in northwestern N.H., or in the Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge in the northeast. There will also be an opportunity for a 1-3 hour hike into the boreal forest, suited to the group's interests and abilities.
The package price of $998 is for two people, double occupancy, plus camping equipment rentals if needed (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad).
Included: Pack list, driving directions, two nights lodging, guide/instructor for the two-day tour, one night campsite, nature/history interpretation, paddling equipment, shuttle assistance if one-way river trip, local map, wildlife spotting such as moose, eagles, and loons, and six meals (2 dinners on your own--first and third nights).
Trip goes rain or shine. A detailed pack list will be provided. You'll need to bring layers of synthetic clothing for warm and cold weather, rain jacket/pants, water shoes, and camp shoes. Tent and sleeping bag/pad rentals are available.
