Bicycle Tours and Mountain Bike Lessons in New HampshireWe provide guided bike tours of all kinds, with lessons and rentals if needed, available statewide April through November depending on local trail conditions: Mountain biking, country cycling, road bike touring.
There’s nothing like pedal power to get into some of the most scenic areas of New Hampshire. Learn how to ride and try new trails with us, whether you are looking for rolling bucolic scenery, wooded backcountry roads, or gentle rail trails. We will lead you on the best bicycle routes in New Hampshire for your abilities and interests. With Custom ESCAPES, we take into consideration all abilities and ages. Roll Through Scenic New Hampshire Imagine yourself riding through New Hampshire’s wooded mountains or river valleys. In spring you’ll hear bird songs, in summer you’ll smell wild flowers, and in fall you’ll see colorful autumn leaves. Fat Tire Rides These backcountry excursions on gravel roads and paths require bicycles with fat tires and multiple gears. Depending on location, we use hybrid, mountain, and fat bikes. Sorry, e-bikes are not offered with tours. If you are new to riding, or new to this fat-tire type of bike, we will give you a lesson along the way. The tour goes at your speed, and you will have breaks to take in New Hampshire’s scenery. Singletrack Mountain Biking Lessons (Not Available 2020) Gain confidence by spending a half-day or full-day learning the basics, or a week for an attempt to master the tight, twisting, jumping, turning, dipping, tree-lined trails around the state. Topics covered include bicycle inspection and repair, body position on various terrain, gear shifting and timing, pace, and staying healthy & found (i.e. environmental hazards, nutrition, map reading). Your guide-instructors will facilitate progressive technical practice with individualized tips to improve efficiency. Multi-Day Tour Whether you want a guided full-day lesson/tour, a multi-day inn-to-inn tour, or want to bike as part of a yurt adventure or a hike/bike/paddle tour, our guides at Outdoor ESCAPES New Hampshire will give you an unforgettable experience riding in New Hampshire. As a rule, the longer your trip, the more you get out of it. You’ll get better at navigating the terrain, see more wildlife, increase your fitness level, and experience local culture. When you sign up… You will be provided with a suggested list of things to bring so you will be prepared for any type of weather. The most important things on the list are proper biking shoes/sneakers, safety glasses, and padded short/pants for longer trips–meaning longer than a couple of hours. Rental bikes and helmets (required) are available. Let yourself go…and find yourself in scenic New Hampshire. |
